Asheley's Heart💜 Founder

Asheley’s💜 is a mentoring program I have been wanting to start for a few years now. Actually inspired by my own personal story of becoming a teen mother at the tender age of 16. I was so young experiencing such a huge responsibility and not really having the tools as a child myself to handle what I was faced with. I was blessed to have an amazing support system which helped me along the way, but that got me thinking about all the young girls who didn’t have what I had. I thought about how hard it must have been for those young ladies facing such a huge responsibility alone and without support. I also thought about how our environments can sometimes shape the way in which we handle the many peer pressures from our friends and sometimes our family.

The purpose of this mentoring program is NOT to encourage or promote teen pregnancy, but to uplift, support, encourage and inspire young ladies minds, before teen pregnancy or any other force becomes a part of their story. I want little young ladies to know they don’t have to be the stereotype which says young black girls are fast, disrespectful and useless. I want to show them they matter in a society that tells them their not enough. Asheley’s💜 will provide an outlet that will allow young girls to speak their truth and be proud of who they are and where they come from. I want them to know Black Girls really DO ROCK!

I want to share my story so young ladies know with God ANYTHING is possible. They should know their light shines too and I want to bring that out in them, so they can one day become the strong black women they are destined to be. Asheley’s💜 will provide different services such as; community service, rap sessions, quarterly events and an "Annual Asheley’s💜 Scholarship Ceremony" just to name a few. I am excited to begin this journey in helping to change the lives of so many young African American ladies. I am honored God placed it on my heart to share my story and pour into my little sisters, so they too can be overcomers and victorious in all aspects of their lives.
